En mi obra combino diferentes medios (Pintura, vídeo, instalación y acciones). Mi práctica artística está centrada en temas vinculados al presente donde se enfatizan las complejidades y los cambios de estar en el mundo actual. Los elementos de tensión o la fragilidad de los materiales están presentes en mi obra como una metáfora de la actualidad. Por medio de la experimentación, exploro los límites de la representación visual y cuestiono esos modelos.

I hold a BA in Fine Arts from UPV, Valencia and a MA in Engraving and Graphic Design from RCM-FNMT, Madrid. I studied at ENSBA Paris, 2006/07 (France) and Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Guanajuato, 2009 (México). Recent projects include my solo show Palpentes at Luis Adelantado Gallery, Valencia (Spain), 2020 and&#38;nbsp;Blind paintings at 3+1 Arte Contemporânea, Lisbon (Portugal) and group shows: Querer Parecer Noche at CA2M Móstoles Madrid (Cur. by Beatriz Alonso &#38;amp; Carlos Fdez Pello)_ARCO Lisboa, Stand AECID-Galerias Municipais, Lisboa, 2018 (Portugal) _Efectos sonoros at Mustang Art Gallery - Pascual Ros Foundation, Elche/Alicante, 2016 _Modelos posibles (cur. Bernardo Sopelana) at OTR, Espacio de arte, Madrid, 2016. My artistic research is focus on the theories that comes from the present such as the Liquid modernity, the complexities and challenges of being in the world today. I combine painting, installation and actions, and I’m interested in the procedural works. The tension elements or the fragility of the materials are present in my work like a metaphor of today. I explore the limits of visual representation, and question those models.

		<description>Juego de ojos


Un cristal transparente es mirar y verse. Si le hacemos un agujero, miramos a través de él, y dejamos de vernos. Si le hacemos un agujero, corremos el riesgo de que se rompa. Al tacto de una mano es de una dureza imprevisible. Un tacto fino. Una tacto fiel, pero resbaladizo. Es un juego, que como decía Foucault, seguirá valiendo la pena, mientras no sepamos como va a terminar. En esa relación, en ese juego, podemos empezar a dialogar, a mirar con otros ojos. A mirar como los ojos que nos miran.

		<description>Lapsus&#38;nbsp;
El jueves pasado iba paseando junto a una compañera. Me paro y le indico un detalle en el paisaje que me resulta ambiguo por su lejanía. Acto seguido, mediante un deslizamiento de la mano sobre el vacío, trato de extender los dedos con la voluntad de ampliarlo y así poder concretar. Ante el fallo, me río y continúo andando.

En unas semanas estas palabras posiblemente estarán impresas sobre papel. Un material estático que no comporta tanto exceso y riesgo como el cristal de una pantalla. ¡Qué divertido es saber que con los dedos sobre una superficie fría, te deslizas con la misma facilidad que sobre un cuerpo ausente! Es como si lo visible se multiplicara hacia direcciones imprevisibles. Se trata de un juego de ojos...o de espejos.

En fin, llevo un tiempo sin leer, o más bien leyendo en exceso. Sí, eso es, la acumulación nos lleva a pensar en la planitud de la experiencia, así como la repetición gravita hacia la necesidad de una ruptura con ella. El exceso de lectura, en este caso visual, a través de una pantalla.

Una imagen grabada en cenital de mi mano en primer plano sobre un fondo negro. Empieza el vídeo con un “DO” sostenido de piano que se interrumpe con un silencio cuando mi mano golpea el fondo negro. En ese momento se expande una forma líquida creando un dibujo de ondas de luz blanca que poco a poco se va restaurando hasta volver a la calma y convertirse de nuevo en su origen completamente negro y estático. Vuelve a sonar inmediatamente un “RE” sostenido de piano y siguiendo la misma estructura antes descrita le sigue el silencio determinado por un golpe de mi mano. Así va creciendo la alteración entre sonido y negro de fondo, con silencio e imágen, hasta llegar al “DO” y cerrar la escala._

	
I filmed my hand above a black background from a zenith angle in close up. The video begins
with a “C” sharp piano sound that is suspended with a silence when my hand hits the water
(the black background). In that moment, a fluid shape spreads and creates a drawing with
white light waves that little by little it dissolves into the original image of a black background.
Suddenly, a “D” sharp piano sounds and, following the same structure described before, it is
followed by the silence and image of the disturbed water. It develops until the upper “C” and
closes the scale.

Seamos claros: Lo que de verdad puede interesarnos de esta pintura no son sus trampas.
